Strategic Themes are the areas where KT11 Venture is actively investigating structural change across its field — following the evidence, the technology and what practitioners are actually doing.
A Theme can concern a development that improves an existing business, evolves a proposition or could create new business — with new business creation as the centre of gravity. Each is a question we are working on, with a view that develops as the evidence does.

How is AI changing brokerage — and where does it actually change the business?
Why it matters
AI is already entering brokerage, wealth and investment workflows — but much of what is live today improves research, service, operations or advisor productivity without changing the underlying business. The more consequential possibilities begin where AI changes the customer proposition, the economics of serving investors or the distribution role of the broker itself.
Current View
Much of today's AI activity improves the existing brokerage business. We are particularly interested in where AI could change the proposition, distribution or underlying business model.
Tokenised securities are becoming more real. Where does that create real economic value — and where could it become new business?
Why it matters
Europe has moved beyond conceptual discussion: regulated digital securities infrastructure is operating, wholesale settlement is progressing and issuance can increasingly move onto new rails. But infrastructure progress and commercial opportunity are not the same thing — the question is where tokenisation creates real economic value compared with modern conventional infrastructure.
Current View
Tokenisation is becoming more credible as European capital-markets infrastructure. The strongest evidence today sits in infrastructure, issuance and specialised wholesale use cases; where this creates durable new business across issuers, distribution and enabling services is less obvious — and that is where we are looking.
Project Ideas are more concrete than Strategic Themes: specific potential new businesses that KT11 Venture considers sufficiently interesting to explore.
