From a promising opportunity to a decision worth making.
KT11 Venture works on specific opportunities for new business across investment, wealth, capital markets and related financial infrastructure — helping institutions understand what could be possible, what the evidence supports and whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.
Start with the opportunity.
A new technology. An emerging business model. A proposition seen in another market. A capability that could be brought into an existing institution. A Project Idea developed by KT11 Venture. Or an opportunity already being explored internally.
Advise starts with a specific question about what could become possible — not with a broad transformation programme. Only the relevant current state is then examined: what we need to understand in order to judge that particular opportunity.
- New proposition or business modelA product, proposition or business model that could create new revenue for an institution.
- Technology-enabled opportunityA technology that could change the economics, distribution or substance of a business.
- Market entry or adaptationA proposition or model proven elsewhere, considered for Hungary, CEE or another market.
- Build, buy or partnerA strategic question where several routes to the same opportunity are plausible.
- Existing capability with new potentialSomething an institution already does that could carry a new commercial use.
- Multi-party opportunityAn opportunity that only works across several institutions or companies.
Examples of where a conversation may start — not a catalogue of services, and not an exhaustive list.
Every opportunity is different. The discipline is the same: a small number of questions, answered with evidence and judged independently.
What exactly could become possible?
What matters about today's business, economics, proposition, technology and institutional context?
What can we learn from markets, technologies, companies, business models and relevant international examples?
What would materially change — commercially, economically and institutionally?
Is there a viable opportunity here? Is it worth pursuing? And if so, how?
Building something new is one possible answer. Not the required one.
Independent judgement matters because KT11 Venture does not need every opportunity to become a Build engagement. The work is done when a well-founded decision can be made — whatever that decision is.
Take the opportunity forward within the existing organisation.
Pursue the opportunity with another company or capability.
Adopt what already exists rather than creating it.
Test the critical assumptions before committing.
Create a new business, proposition or entity.
A clear, well-founded decision not to proceed.
The right outcome is the one the evidence supports — not the one that creates the next engagement.
New-business decisions have to work in more than one world.
An opportunity has to make sense commercially, survive institutional scrutiny and be decidable by the people who actually have to decide. Advise draws on experience in each of these worlds — and on the independence to say what the evidence supports.
- Institutional realityUnderstanding regulated financial institutions, economics, balance sheets and how established businesses actually work.
- Decision realityUnderstanding how opportunities become credible to executives, Boards, groups and other decision makers.
- New-business perspectiveExperience across innovation, technology, FinTech, entrepreneurship and venture development.
- External visibilityExposure to technologies, companies, propositions and business models across markets.

Have a specific opportunity worth examining?
Whether it started inside your organisation or outside it, a useful first conversation is often simply about what could be possible — and what would need to be true for it to be worth pursuing.
